That's really great. Would have to be a major fan to invest that much learning and hacking into such a crappy game. I too was overwhelmingly disappointed in it after the incredible achievement the Atari 2600 Pitfall II was. AVGN even did a video on it it was so bad.
Only 5 days to go until the rom patch is released. A little uninterested 30 years later but might give it a whirl if I can get my hands on it. Nice to see dedication like this to improve such a bad game.
I thought this was nifty. It's amazing how fandom will tackle things just to make them more fun. :)
Yeah, great effort by that chap. Makes me want to learn Assembly and fix 90% of the Jaguar library.
Ha, way too much work there. :D
LOL That would be a lot of work!
Still, I'm kinda looking forward to Pitfall now. Figure it deserves some real play since dude went all out.
Besides, with the positive feedback mentioned from testers, how bad could it be. 8)
Got all of the files together and patched the rom.

Playing this in FCEUX.

Should be able to hack in invincibility using the flashing when the game starts or a new life is used. It's pretty hard
so if it works, should be a breeze to play through :)
