Phantasy Star was and still is a superb game and imo takes this round all on its own. The NES doesn't have an answer to it if you ask me. Then there's Y's, another classic, then Golvellius, Miracle warriors etc.

I can't stand RPG's but I would have thought that the NES would take this on the number of RPG's available on it alone.

I never knew Y's appeared on the NES, let alone twice lol. I was never much of a Zelda fan until LTTP though.

Ah but then my favourite of all time has to be Streets of Rage...If this was Mega Drive vs SNES i would almost go so far as to say we already have a winner but the there is a lot of good competition on those you have shown

Had a quick glance at wiki after reading your post, from what I gathered Y's didn't see the light of day outside japan??
