General Retro Chat / Re: Modded Original XBOX
March 02, 2018, 01:31:34 AM
I did a few mods with mine. I can't remember much about it as it was quite some time ago but it was chipped, bigger hdd, a halo green case, along with a halo jewel which is sadly lost, some LEDs and I was suppose to get a new front for it but never did. That would've added a LED screen.

It spent most of the time with the top off it but it was a work horse. I don't have any games on it now sadly :( I looked it out last year and was disappointed to find that out. I always meant to get a better cable for it but man they were expensive.

My parents got my son a raspberry pi for Christmas but haven't had time to play with it till now ...

Stuck retropie on it and played some good old NHL94 lol. I've ordered another Pi for my 3D printer, but now I may need to order another just for playing more retro games as my son wants me to transform his into a Pipboy.

Commodore Chat / Re: Body Blows Galactic For The CD32

Nah, if I did no way I would've gave up my CD32 so easily lol. I even remember the disc and cover. Like I say its the Mandela Effect lol

I may actually check out Body Blows again though, I know it wasn't the best fighter but I always enjoyed it.

Great shouts @MadCommodore  @AmigaFreak77

What about this beauty?

Jetstrike.

Now thats a game I love to play, even now! I don't get much time to play much retro these days but I hunted this one out to give it a spin yearly, along with Colonization and Base Jumpers, in which the publisher Rasputin published both Jetstrike and Base Jumpers. I only had the demo when I was a kid which was a pain in the ass but growing up had its advantages of being able to get the full game lol

Plus it has such a silly intro song.

Though I've mentioned it Base Jumpers is something I felt was underappreciated, I never saw much talk about it at all. It allowed 4 players, though it was a damn struggle to do so. I love the actual base jump at the end.

I know but its just weird as I met up with a group of old childhood friends late last year. We spoke about old times and even Galactic came up in the conversation due to speaking about old games and how we use to haul our gear to each other houses.

I knew you would be the best person to tell me the bad news but man I just can't shake it, why was Galactic stuck in my head. Its not liked I played the series.

Commodore Chat / Body Blows Galactic For The CD32
February 22, 2018, 20:56:31 PM
Hey everyone! I responded to a tweet Team 17 put out about the games they released on the CD32 and I mentioned they were missing Body Blows Galactic.

https://twitter.com/Team17Ltd/status/966687928972869632

They got back to me saying they only released Ultimate Body Blows, but I swear I remember playing Body Blows Galactic on my CD32. I had to the 2000 and it was a hit or miss to play the Body Blows games on it but when I got my CD32 it was brilliant.

So my question, does anyone else know remember Galactic came out for the CD32? Is this another Mandela Effect?

I sadly don't have the discs anymore and I've tried a few google searches and only came up with one but it was mainly just sprites. I thought it could be a unofficial port but I don't remember having anything like that on the CD32.

My has to be an Amiga. All of my fondest memories were on it, plus there's a few titles I still go back to play year after year.

It was a wide vary of sounds, clicking of the floppy drive when using X-Copy, the loading, the micro switches of the joysticks. I admit that when I do use a emulator to run some Amiga games, I leave those sounds on and a smile will come to my face. Happily relive all that again.

Oh man, I've always wanted a Nomad. I'm starting to sell off some of my collection. Wonder if I can use some of the cash to get one lol

But old consoles just look so nice  :21:

I'm gonna be selling most of my spares and a few that I just won't use. Be a sad day when my Sega Multi Mega goes.

lol they are but I'm a man with so many hobbies and so little disposable income. I mean I would happily get a new one but it would mean spending a wee bit less somewhere and not getting a day trip out lol and when you work from home and spend 6 of 7 days in the house all day, you crave those days of freedom.

Amiga 4000
Amiga CD 32 full game collection
Probably more Amiga games lol
Sega Mega Drive full game collection
Star Wars sit down cab

Will I have any change left to buy a CRT monitor?

Still very much want one. My missus no regrets showing me one of those Facebook groups that deal with retro items in the Scotland area. Some lass is selling a RetroN5 for £85 which I think is a steal, only been used a few times seemly. Problem is the distance and she isn't willing to post. It's about over and hour drive.

I've been debating it in my head. Is it worth the travel for the price and hopefully it still be unsold when I get paid next week.

Looks brilliant and so professional done. I guess that comes with living in a age where machines are cheaper to rent or buy.

Kinda makes me wish I can find one of my working Game Gears now to have a play.
