I've always loved this game, so it was an easy decision to remake it when I began making Christmas themed games (6 years ago btw - how time flies).

Quote from: "Saturn"Tried to rename the zip to plotting2 so I could hold both this and Sokoban but it errored out with "mame plotting2." Will have to rename either correctly as they're played.

Here's what you can do;

rename b96-07.ic9 to c20-07.ic10
rename b96-08.ic8 to c20-06.ic9
rename ic10 to c20-09.ic11

...and call it 'Puzznic' instead. That'll work too and allow you to keep both games.

Quote from: "zapiy"I am struggling getting this to run with MAME.. Anyone had success?
I just played it on 0.160. How old is your MAME version? ...could that be the problem?

Aha, that looks like a linear vector version of Space Zap.

I like that. It looks very playable too.

But I really don't like the logo though. The most important thing for a logo is to communicate the name of something...and if you don't already know what this one says it's completely unintelligible.

Sounds very interesting. I'll keep an eye on this one.
One of the reasons I think it's interesting is because I'd love to code something for an arcade platform myself, but I miss some information about the hardware they're coding for though. "JAMMA arcade hardware" doesn't really give any information about the hardware and its specs except how you connect the board to the cabinet.

I don't think I ever played the Amiga version - well, I can't remember it if I did, anyway.

But I played a lot on the Spectrum version. I loved that game. Super polished.

Looks good. It's clever and I'm sure it'll help those who wants to make games but can't code. Amazing that no one seems to have made a Gamemaker-style program for the Amiga before.

Personally I'd never use it though - I just can't get on with all that button-clicking. I'd prefer to code everything from the ground up because that gives you more control over what you're doing and being able to read the source code makes it (imho) easier to see how everything is connected. But perhaps that's just me. :)

Still, a promising tool for those that likes to do things a bit easier. :D

For some reason I always liked this game. Originally on the Spectrum and later the arcade game too.

However, Masterhacker Ralf from the World of Spectrum has made a graphical hack of it. As it turns out the graphics in the Spectrum version seems to be very sloppily auto-converted from the Amstrad ones, and he's redrawn the graphics so it now looks a lot better.

Take a look here at his mod: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47172
