Doom on the Jaguar is pitiful

John Carmack who created Doom STILL mantains the Jaguar has the best console version.

The 3DO and Saturn versions are both pretty bad though.

It may be the controller that spoilt it for me I just didn't feel comfortable with doom on the jag.

I was the same until I upgraded to the 6 button controller recently. I actually like the feel of it and with the controller overlays its really not too bad. I might play doom on the jag again for my channel, dunno why I prefer the saturn version, I'm obviously just blinkered by nostalgia, it was the first system I played/completed it on lol

Say what you want about the 3DO version, but man, this cover is so, so good. I'd say it even beats out the PC version of the song.

Too obvious. At this point, saying 'ET is bad' is a little bit like saying 'People would prefer you don't stab them in the face'.

Yeah and I also think there are tons more games worse than E.T. - it's not great but it's not anywhere near as bad as many people make it out to be.

I have always liked it actually but I know some people hate it, I reviewed on here actually in the reviews section. Ghostbusters II on the 2600, however, is bloody awful!

I never quite understood why everyone hated ET so much.  I don't think it is a bad game at all.  As Lair says, there are plenty of games that are far worse.  I think people found this game to be difficult and labeled it "bad" for that reason.
