Completed Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master (Mega Drive) ....finally.
Played my Turbografx today. Forgot just how amazing Blazing Lazers is and had fun with Klax too. Then I tried Vigilante.... two out of three aint bad lol. I seem to remember it being much better but still good nostalgia.

Yeah there isn't any good beat 'em ups on the PCE/TG really, Vigilante is about as good as is gets I am afraid.
Blazing Lazers is an amazing game no doubt.
I played on my Mega Drive last night:
Sonic 3
Tecmo World Cup
Double Clutch
F1
Turbo Outrun
After sorting some of the stuff from my garage, tonight I was trying consoles to make sure they still worked after getting damp. Game Gear, wouldn't work on mains adaptor but played Sonic2 on battery power for a while.
Then plugged in the CD32 and put in Pinball Fantasies. That was the end of any more testing as I got carried away playing Pinball, amazed at how good it still looks, and how well it still plays. The time was gone in a flash
DoDonPachi....
DoDon-effiing-Pachi. Have my white import Saturn set up with my CRT rotated and I'm seeing bullet patterns in my sleep.
I'm playing on 1 credit.
Can no-miss level1 and 2 but for some reason can't get past level 3 on 1 credit. I'm pretty low skilled at shmups but I thought I'd be doing better after spending some time on it. Have been at this for 4-5 days now, an hour or so every day.
And as for chaining - can't seem to crack 90 on level 1 - was stuck on 70 for a few days but I think I can see how to bridge the gap to keep it going - but then I screwed up and blew it at 90 - should be able to get a 140 combo at least on level 1.
Ho hum..
Did I mention that this game is quite superb?
I decided to give a spin to some 2600 homebrews, so I spent some time playing Pac-Man 4K, Crazy Balloon, Hunchy 2, and Osytron over the weekend.
So I've been playing through Crusader: No Remorse a little bit. I'm still not past the first misison, since the level structure is kind of mazelike, and there are a few parts that'll pretty much instantly kill you if you go near them. Hooray for quicksaves.
I really do want to get further into this, though. I mean, a game where you play as Not Boba Fett We Swear inflicting horrible demises on a bunch of faceless mooks (and a few bystanders, because why not) while awesome .mod music plays? Sign me up!

Any remorse from playing it?
