    GEEK 2013

    Gaming Expo East Kent

    Venue: Margate Winter Gardens, 21-24 February 2013

    Scale: Est. 2000-3000 over the four days

    As it stands, GEEK is likely to be by far the biggest retro gaming event in the south during 2013. So if you've been unable to make it up to the Replay/Play Expo in the North West - GEEK is certainly a very credible alternative.

    Is anyone here planning on going?  I went last year.  It was very good.  I know that a lot of the retro events are in the North, so this will be an opportunity for us Southerns to have some retro gaming action.

    Don't worry DCRIP - there are Dreamcasts there!    ;)  They did have every retro system covered in there - plus a couple of the modern systems for 'Skyrim' last year.

    TrekMD, I'm disappointed, what with your love of 'Star Trek'.  You could have used either your warp engines or transporter!

    I just worked it out and it's to far for me also. Sadly I have to much on at the moment to justify booking a hotel, so I will be giving this a miss.

    I could definitely be tempted to go but I'm just not sure about the money, certainly its a bit of a trek from Watford and if no one else that I know is going I might end up giving it a miss, shame as it looks awesome
