First time I've had a chance to do much gaming in a while. Had about an hour or so each on Red Faction Armageddon and FEAR 3. FEAR 3 is actually pretty decent - cover works really well, which I haven't always found to be the case in FPSs. Enemies are, typically for this series, a bit more inclined to out-manoeuvre you than in most shooters, and the maps are usually more than just corridors.
This afternoon I got round to playing Dead Rising: Chop Until You Drop on Wii. Despite being a bit of spaz and spending forever trying to figure out where to go and what to do I did end up having a lot of fun with this and completed the first few missions. My biggest problem was that I spent far too long just killing zombies when i should have been saving people ;D
Router has been busy to the tune of 200gb this month for my PS3
Skyrim, LBP Karting, Trine 2, Saints Row 3, Doom 3, DMC etc etc
Other than that I've missed playing Settlers, so I signed upto The Settlers Online....ahh 2D Settlers, so much better than the 3D versions.

Had a little Wii session today between packing boxes for my move:
Excite Truck - I was initially put off by this game because it made me complete a series of annoying tutorials and it uses motion control to steer but I am glad I stuck at it because boy is this game fun! I am quickly finding out that driving games are a real strong point for the Wii, all the ones I have played so far have been excellent. The thing I loved most about this game is that you are actually awarded for crashing!
Heat Seeker - I had never actually heard of this before I saw it on a shelf but I am really glad I gave it a try. It's a mission based shooter with overtones of Afterburner by Codemasters. You use the Wiimote to control the plane on the screen rather than the nunchuck and I was surprised just how well this worked! It's not the best looking Wii game out there but this is a real slice of old-school arcade action with a modern twist that is incredibly enjoyable to play.
Oh I nearly forgot, I had a little session yesterday too:
King Of Pool -Â I love pool games so I was excited to play this. At first I found it very tough to play as the tutorial is complete shite and really doesn't help much. After fiddling about with the controls myself I found how to switch to overhead views to take shots and it became a lot easier. It looks really rough but for a game of this type that isn't that important really I suppose. Pretty good fun anyway and I am sure I will enjoy it even more in 2-player.
Land Rover Ford Off-Road - I read that this game was not well received and I saw it called a rubbish Excite Truck rip-off but now I have played Nintendo's title I can safely say it isn't at all. Apart from both being racing games they really are quite different. This game is a serious racing game with real vehicles where you need to earn money to upgrade your ride. Graphically the game is brilliant but boy is the sound bloody awful! Despite the many mediocre reviews I read I thought this game was pretty good.
Did another 2 hours on Lollipop Chainsaw and then dipped back into Suikoden 2 (grinding at the mo) and now firmly rooted in Two Worlds 2: Pirates of the Flying Fortress

Wow, someone else likes Two Worlds 2! Never did try the expansion but really enjoyed the main game.
Suffering through Hyperdimension Neptunia on PS3. Still picture/visual novel JRPG filled with cutesy anime girls. Story is interrupted by small dungeons overloaded with random enemy encounters. Horrible.
BUT the story is about Neptunia, a console goddess who has been banished from the heavens by goddesses that represent Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. She has to fight back to her former glory.
The 'Summon' attacks are called using Game Discs that trigger attack animations with characters licensed from old Sega games.
The storyline and fan service deserved better than this lame RPG. The gameplay is supposed to be much better in the sequel(s) though.
More a case of: 'So far this week':
Hydro Thunder Hurricane, 360-Online, but suffered the blight of 'Rage quitters', each time host lost to myself or i'd be 2nd, he/ was 3rd, they quit the game.Happened 3 times, 3 different hosts.
Pinball FX 2 360, had crack at beating my highscore on the Blade table, job done.
Too Human 360-Not as bad as some reviewers made out, had long development cycle (4 CD PS1 game, then Game Cube, finally 360), but clearly meant to be played as a 4-Player co-op affair, which was a feature planned, but left out in final game.
Apache Air Assault PS3, returned to (hoping the audio drop out bug had been patched, it had'nt) but i did crack the mission i was stuck on, did another 2, before hitting a brick wall.
Blur PS3, PS3 decided to connect to Home Hub, spent hr or so online with this old fav.delighted to see servers still active.
Going to be trying Journey PS3 again, now PS3 has connected, but due to the issues between it+BT hub (timing out) it's taken 90 mins to DL a tiny patch, lol.
Played a bit of Driver:San Francisco today, forgot how fun this game is teleporting to different cars is such a great idea and the dialogue is brilliant

Dude, I really liked the original so this one rocked my socks off lol
And the expansion, get it lol It is a separate campaign of sorts but is big, adds loads (also patches the game apparently) and damned good fun!

Took a bit of break from the packing today as I am well ahead of myself so I spent the afternoon with my Wii and played the following games:
WWE '13
No More Heroes
Link's Crossbow Training
Ghostbusters

You know what they say, play with your Wii too much and you'll go blind!
Tried the Dead Space3 demo.P3, seems even dumber than i feared.
in a 1 level level i saw they'd upped the number of human foes, had put in a Rogue Trooper-esq cover system, i'd taken part in a QTE sequence and despatched numerous Necromorphs who just minced towards me, ohh and 1 big creature that just pranced about a bit, not bothering to attack or do much.
Playing on normal, just zero feeling of fear or suspense.
One for the £10 or under pile.
Over the last few days I have played the following Wii games:
WWE '13
Dead Rising
Far Cry Vengeance
Need For Speed Carbon
No More Heroes
