Not exactly a gaming recommendation directly but one that will let you play tons of games on Android. RetroArch has come to Android and it will allow emulation of quite a few systems.

Well worth checking out. If you use this on a tablet (or on OUYA if it becomes available), you can hook it up to the TV and essentially have a bunch of consoles to play on your TV.

This would be perfect for OUYA! Until then I will try it on my tablet.

Yep, very sad indeed.
There's a new platformer for Android that seems like a pretty good clone of Super Mario Bros. It is called Awesome Land and you can find it in Google Play. I understand it is also available on iOS (can someone who uses iTunes verify?).
