For me the Atari Lynx has the best good to bad ratio of any games machine. That makes it very hard to choose a top 10 best games, so listed here are my top 20 in no order
Robotron 2084
Klax
STUN Runner
A.P.B.
Rampage
Pokermania
Shanghai
Lemmings
Zarlor Mercenary
Alpine Games
Xenophobe
Pit-Fighter
Xybots
Ninja Gaiden
Roadblasters
Super Asteroids / Missile Command
Rampart
Awesome Golf
Pinball Jam
Double Dragon

Im glad no one put the god awful Gates Of Zendocon! Really poor game that plays and looks like an Amiga PD game...
I agree with most of both of your choices....except Pit-Fighter! I hated it in the arcade and the Lynx version is even worse! Only hyped up at the time because of the first game to digitise fighters...only way to hide a poor game!
Anyway back on track to the good games!
I'll add;
Chips Challenge (my fav puzzler on the lynx)
Dracula (really good pnc game)
Beast (actually one of the best versions)
Slime World
Toki (bloody hard but good!) completed the Amiga version on unlimited lives! :-p
Warbirds (not for everybody but I loved this the first time I played it in school)

Cheers, some there bring back some awesome memories.
I haven't played it for years, but I thought Ninja Gaiden was brilliant on the Lynx. It looked great on the Lynx screen and was a lot of fun to play. I can't remember if I ever completed it and I've no idea how well it's aged.
Blue Lighting is another Lynx game that was fun, fast and visually very impressive. It made Afterburner a distant memory for me. For a while at least.
I think so far my suggestions would be:
STUN Runner
Xybots
Todds Adventures in Slime World
Rygar
Hydra
I love STUN Runner to bits, I've had it since the early 90s and remember FIRST playing it, great memories lol

Lynx Robotron 2084 review, GO!, reviewer Tim Boone 78%
Lynx Robotron 2084 review, GO!, reviewer Tim Boone 78%
I remember that and what made it even more stupid was that when they did their top 10 games for each handheld they put it at no.1, totally contradicting their own review of it.
Ouch! Did they ever explain why?
Ouch! Did they ever explain why?
Review was done by single reviewer (Tim Boone) who moaned about the fiddly control method letting game down, but since they could only devise a control method to suit the Lynx face buttons+D-Pad, think he was being rather harsh.
Would assume the top 10 was written by someone else.
That is one way for the magazine to cover its difference.

Rampage Overall 60%
Robosquash Overall 70%
Rygar Overall 46%
WTF? Rygar only 46%? are they mad?.Apparenttly the reviewer feels gameplay is dull, run-of-the mill and graphics are 'Not that good' ohh and rampage they say has 'Not much gameplay, soon gets tedious' hence 60%.

Overall would this not be 81%?
Still to low for my tastes. Are any of the magazines still in print? Robbie Swan, I feel your goose is already cooked
