Ok so those of you who know me know how nuts I am on my DC.. and you may also know that I like From Softwares Armored Core Series on Playstation and xbox, so to those of you who know and love Armored Core and have a Dreamcast.. your in for a treat.
Frame Gride, also by From Software, was previously partially translated but it is now 100% translated and ready for use. If you want to know more about the translated version contact me via PM/Email
Here is my video on my channel about Frame Gride

For those of you who DON'T know Armored Core it is a mech sim of sorts where by you customise and build your own mech based on a number of principles, its basically the Gran Turismo of the "Mech Warrior" genre. You can have different classes of mechs, different leg types, you can change things as stupidly fiddly as boosters and FC's etc (whatever they are lol) and go on missions. Later versions are now on modern consoles but the original Armored Core was on PS1 and is still to this day one of my favourite all time PS1 games. Here is a vid about Armored Core:

So to clarify the connection between Frame Gride and Armored Core: Frame Gride was From Softwares one and only release on the Dreamcast. It is basically Armored Core in Medieval times, the game is incredible and looks fantastic on Dreamcast but it was only released as NTSC J. So for it to be finally translated is a massive deal because it must've taken serious work and effort to do.
Anyway I didn't think I should link to the location so if anyone wants to know more as mentioned earlier, give me a shout

um... ok, I'm talking about a particular game here not a console, shouldn't this thread be in Retro Games rather than consoles? Or am I crazy lol. Just wondering

Its about a game on a specific console, therefore it's console gaming. The computer/console sections are not just for discussing the specific machines. They are also for talking about console/computer games too.
Retro games is for general game discussion on multiple formats.
aaah... fair enough, not sure thats exactly clear from the descriptions, not wanting to nitpick or be a pain I just thought it was the right place

no sweat I understand how you want the forums to be going forward now so I'll try and remember. And I apologise profusely in advance if I forget lol
So did you have a chance to look at Frame Gride at all bud? Or anyone else for that matter? I can personally vouch for its awesome quality, the visuals are really top end for the Dreamcast and the controls while complicated are classic Armored Core style and pretty comprehensive and nice once you learn them. I love this game and can't WAIT to check out the english version

Yeah I just had a look and you know I love mech games so would be very interested to play this at some point. My Dreamcast is all packed up now as I am moving tomorrow but will take a good look once I get myself sorted.
awesome, oh and good luck with the move, let me know once your settled! When is it going ahead? If you do need any help give me a shout remember, if I can help out I will
Regarding Frame Gride, it is definitely a Mech Game but its not quite as pick up and play as say AMOK or things like that on the Saturn, or Iron Soldier where you just pick the guns and play. Its kind of comparable to Gran Turismo or Pokemon as well, in a sense that you customise lots of different parts for your mech AND you can do things like item generation much like from Powerstone 2 for example. Its an awesome game but requires a bit of time. And at least now that its in English it will be easier for people to pick up and play
Again I wasn't sure if I should link to the resource to get it because it is a CDI of a game so I refrained. If anyone's interested let me know

Found it and downloading. Thanks!
I think I got the original JPN release with a DC lot long ago but I never tried it. Translated version will be much easier to play.
When FROM SOFTWARE deliver, they do so in spades!.
Huge fan of Xbox O.T.O.G.I 1+2, PS3 Demon's Souls, not so much Dark Souls due to 'cheap' bosses, plot being all over the shop and that ending!.
Been shy around the Armoured core (and Kings Field) series, despite being a huge mech fan, they just look like they req, lot of dedication, i did pick up:
Armoured Core For Answer on 360, so far only dabbled with (and i find the customising over whelming in choice, lol), but have enjoyed what i've played of it so far.
Seems like a real, hardcore Mech series, which is a good thing.
lol..you guys...and your robots!!!..you all sure this isn't an replacement excuse for something else that's not more than 10 ft long?
