I watched a few episodes of Isis as a kid and remember it being really bad. It was on right after Shazam! on Saturday mornings. Shazam! wasn't very good either but much better than Isis.

I think Hulk and Wonder Woman were the best of the 70s superhero shows.

Yeah, Filmation created both Shazam and Isis and both were low-budget shows.  Because they made both shows, though, the characters did get to meet and work together in a few episodes of both shows. 

I have to agree that Wonder Woman and Hulk were among the best superhero shows of the 70s.

Did you watch The Six Million Dollar Man and/or Bionic Woman? 

Six Million Dollar Man was great! I had the action figure, rocket, and lunchbox.

It's a shame most of the 70s superhero shows were so bad. I remember looking forward to the Spider-man and Captain America shows but they were SO disappointing.

I do have early memories of the live action 'Hulk' being shown on ITV in the UK.  That was pretty good.  They seemed to show the pilot episode a lot of times after it finished its initial run.  I think it got a repeat on ITV in the early 1990s.  Love the image of the Hulk wearing 'green slippers' in some scenes!    David Banner sure got through some shirts in that series!

I think the live action 'Wonder Woman' got shown in the 1980s on BBC 1 in the early Saturday evening slot.  They didn't have the 'wartime season' - that only got shown by Sky 1 in the early 1990s. 

Some of the live action 'Spiderman' films got shown in the DEF II slot on BBC 2(Wednesdays at 18:00 time slot).  That looks quite camp now.  Especially as the web shooter fits on the outside of his suit.  His suit looks quite strange now. 

I assume that we want to stick to the live action versions, not the animated stuff. 

I do remember that the early 'Captain America' film(I think it was only a TV movie in the US and UK) got shown on BBC 1 in the early 1990s.  It was a bit of a letdown.

Does anyone remember the DC comics hero 'The Flash'.  That had a live action series, but it only got shown on Sky 1 in the early 1990s.  It seemed okay at the time(it might have aged a bit).  The effects looked pretty good. 

I also remember a lot of 'Lois and Clark : The New Adventures of Superman' being shown on BBC 1 in the 1990s.  It was lightweight but I suppose fun.  Probably lost a lot of its shine after the first season though. 

Yes, I think we should stick to live action shows.  The Flash is certainly one I remember.  By the time this aired, Wally West was the Flash and I remember the "controversy" of this show using Barry Allen instead.  The actor who portrayed Barry Allen/Flash recently appeared in an episode of Grim.

Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was a different take on the Superman mythos but I thought it worked fine.  It may not have been stellar, but it wasn't awful either.

I'll definitely watch the He-Man movie. It looks a bit cheap even by hobby standards from my first impression, but that's okay; most of the really professional looking films are shorts.

On-topic of superhero TV shows:
I was a huge Hulk-fan as a kid, and still think it was a very well-made show. It managed to get adult non-comic-book readers watching just like comic book nuts, and that's an accomplishment. Also the "Lonely Man" end theme is etched into my memory  forever. 🙁

What I have watched on DVD recently is Superboy, the live action TV show from 1988-1992; the first two seasons that is, as seasons 3 and 4 are not available yet.

The show was done by the Salkinds who also did the Superman movies and Supergirl. It's a half hour show aimed mainly at kids; very cheesy and kind of cheap when I watch it now, but supposedly it was big budget back then.^^ It's definitely good naive fun. 🙂
