So anyone looking forward to this?

I really don't think this guy is convincing as Judge Dredd, he just dosn't have the chin for a start.

The Jury is out on this one for me.

Ah crap!  Has it really been called DREDD '3D'?  I'm yet to be really impressed by any 3D film.

I have been looking forward to this since I heard about it earlier in the year.  The trailers heightened my interest and only today I was chatting to a colleague about going to see it.  I thought Karl Urban looked pretty good in the trailers and got the Clint Eastwood 'hiss' spot on delivering his lines.  Plus, the fact that Urban apparently doesn't remove his helmet in the film is great attention to detail and a homage to 2000AD that will surely please fans.  Particularly after the Stallone film where he could wait to get his face on the screen!

I'm still willing to reserve judgement until I've seen it.  If at all possible, unlikely if it is now called DREDD 3D, I'll watch it in 2D.

The previews I have seen do not look bad. Still undecided also.

I'll probably go watch it with low expectations.  Maybe I won't be disappointed that way.

I will no doubt watch it but I thought is was going to put the Stallone version to bed as that was poor, sadly this has not had the best start but you never know.

it looks awesome to me so far, the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes so far are all positive... which is pretty impressive when you consider... its DREDD!! The last one was terrible, this one is apparently ultra violent, snappy, and the reviews so far suggest its a good and true translation of the character

3d is fine if you don't expect the earth to be shattered, don't be put off by the 3d you can't compare todays 3d to the blue and red catastrophy of yester-year lol. modern 3d, used well, can really enhance the movie experience, Avatar, Green Lantern and Underworld Awakening used 3d really well imo

Anyway yeah I'm really looking forward to this one, its an 18 for a start so that should tell you how serious they are this time!

I wasn't comparing it to the 3d glasses of yester-year  :-[, if you look at the last few films that have come out with the 3D in title like.. Piranha 3D, Piranha DD 3D,  Shark Night 3D, My Bloody Valentine 3D, Step Up 3D, Saw 3D have all been complete shite film wise, see the trend that is happening here?, the 3D might be spectacular to watch, but this does not make a good film, I've been following this one closely myself, and it is definitively way above the last Dredd outing, but I'm not gonna say this is gonna be complete rubbish, but it's not gonna be a show stopper either. plus also the fact that it more or least appear out of nowhere aswell..is not a good sign regarding a high profile for a film like this as it wasn't a well covered movie in production story on most popular movie sites.

hmm... I know what your saying about the 3d, a lot of it lately has been shit, I agree. But you shouldn't let that colour your impressions of EVERY film with 3d in the title

Dredd has been on the way for a while, I knew about it 2 years ago but your right it hasn't been covered much

just think of it this way, its Dredd, and its definitely a lot better than the last one, no ones saying its the greatest film ever I'm just saying that the word of mouth is positive and I'm excited about it being a minor Dredd fan in my day, I think its going to be awesome personally

ohh yeah..it will hopefully have it's cool moments..hey that's why I go and see them and I'm am a fan myself., I just hate when put in the hands of idiots that with such great licenses they make a complete ballock of it all..it simply is a pure shame Christopher Nolan can't direct them all 🙂

why does it have to be "epic" though? there are loads of good films that aren't epic that are still good or even great films, the bourne movies for example.... Running Scared.... I guess it depends on your definition of epic though. personally I don't care what reviewers or other people think, if I like the looks of a film I'll go and see it regardless, ok it didn't work out too well with the likes of xxx, 10,000bc and The Last Airbender but the majority of them turn out ok, at least for me anyway lol. I REALLY enjoyed Solomon Kane but it seems that only about 10 other people in the world saw that movie lol

yes I really enjoy Salmon Kane also..amazingly it only opened in America only recently, yet the film is 3 years old??..same with the Red Dawn remake due out soon..again made back in 2010.

I completely agree if you like the film when others don't, that's their business..regardless of what they think..I myself run by this rule when watching films myself..although the first Dredd Movie was terrible, it had for me some good moments for me personally..even though it was passed as a turkey..I think their is too many Barry Normans here and not enough Johnathan Ross's lol..
