Disney cartoon, to boot. There's a lot of other examples I could give, as I really enjoy the show, but those are the two most prominent examples.

So hopefully that allays your fears just a little.

So, on topic... did anybody watch the Clone Wars cartoon? Either the animated one or the later CGI one? I can't say I've seen either, so I'm curious to see if any of them are worth seeing. I just never could get as much of an interest in the prequel trilogy, but maybe I could get into it?

I watched both Clone Wars shows.  The first one has a very unique animation style.  Both are worth watching.  The first one was written to be a finite show, so it ends appropriately.  The CGI was killed off before it was time so the last episode leaves stuff unresolved but it does finalize the storyline for one important character.  The CGI clone wars was written so stories spanned multiple episodes giving it more depth.

AFter I've seen the ressurection of Darth Maul it got too terrible in plot. And according to the wiki the emperor will also be ressurrected after episode 6 and returns as a trooper to shortly fight against their enemies until it is killed forever..... what's next? Joda returns as ewok?

How do you know any of this is even true? It's the internet, people make shit up all the time. I could get on this wiki and write that R2-D2 gets turned into a Dalek, but that wouldn't make it true. Use some common senxe, seriously.

because it is on the same site telling the Darth Maul story and it was 1:1 during clone wars series....
every detail was absolute correct until now. it is the star wars wiki page site explaining all characters and the whole story from beginning to (future) end.

The Emperor has been brought back to life in the Expanded Universe.  Is what you are reading based on that?  At this point very little is confirmed about the story in the next movies and I would not put much credence on the wiki or anything else about what is coming.  The story, though based on what Lucas had written, has been fleshed out by other people and may very different.

I loved watching the Clone Wars and if I offed anyone with my Disney friendly talk, well let me upset some more. I enjoyed Episode I, II and III. But most people that I talked to that grew up with the original movies hated the new ones. They thought Jar-Jar was a waste of screen time and that the first two movies were too kid friendly.

I like Bob's example of Gargoyles. A great show but why was the plug pulled? Sure shows run there course but new spin-offs happen. If a program is a cash cow and makes money it will live through many incarnations. Not Gargoyles, why? Are the rumors true about upset parents contacting Disney about the violence of Gargoyles, who knows?

Disney has always been seen as kid friendly, it was Walt Disney's vision and that will always be true till the company is sold.

Too bad they are limiting it to Disney XD. Disney you own ABC! It would make sense, in my mind at least, to show this to the largest possible audience.

Well, it's good to see that Star Wars still stirs the fire of the hearts of the masses. I spotted a few snippets about this when posting that other great Star Wars topic here today ;)

Can't say I like all these spin-offs and I don't see, apart from making money, how Disney can build on the 6 films.

To remove any awkwardness, I have mesothelioma. I don’t look for sympathy, just acceptance. Thanks.

This particular one is now being considered part of the new canon, so it is not a minor spin off.
