This movie was good for a one time view. Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017) It was over 2 hours but Vince Vaughn pulled off his part unbelievably. I didn't realize he had the talent to play this kind of part but his performance was very impressive.

A lot of violence and some innovative kills 8) Definitely not family friendly. A former boxer needs money to re-start his family after his girl has a miscarriage and he's fired from a job. Takes part in some drug deals when things go (horribly) south.
This doesn't end well.. Great for a view though.

Radius (2017) This was a pretty good movie. Started with a lot of questions but as it unraveled, became more interesting until I had to know what happened.. I was appalled when who appeared to be the hero instantly became the loathed. The semi-explanation at the end left it open ended and me guessing. Love it 8)

The Humanity Bureau 2017 Nicholas Cage is my dude so I had to check this one out. Not his finest work but great for a single sitting. Future world where a nuclear meltdown in like, Ohio, has killed most everything in North America. There are cities where most live but the people in rural areas who have exhausted their government benefits are sent to a utopia called New Eden. It's all a farce though....

One coincidence leads the story to its not so happy ending but the ride is pretty good.

OtherLife (2017) Good flick with an interesting story. The extremely hot Jessica De Gouw (as Ren Amari) is cofounder of a company that can place memories of a perfect day in someone's brain. In secret, she's working on a long term version of the chemical to help her brother who years earlier hit his head while scuba diving and has been on life support ever since. Things go awry when Ren's boyfriend/coworker takes too much of the chemical and apparently dies. As a plea bargain, Ren is forced to use the drug to do a year in solitary-which takes all of a minute in real time-and it all goes downhill from there 8)

Infinity Chamber (2016) This was ok. It started with a lot of promise but became repetetive. At the one hour mark I almost turned it off but the OCD wanted to know what happened..
Guy wakes up in a cell and quickly learns that his options are far more than just limited. The sense of isolation and impending fate are well conveyed. A "machine" adapted to the wall takes him into his subconscious throughout the movie and while inside he searches for clues and answers to why he's there. It's a long ride to the end and almost worth it but personally, it coulda used more machine guns and rampaging death sequences :p

Mayhem (2017) Now, this is what I'm talking about! From IMDB:
A virus spreads through an office complex causing white collar workers to act out their worst impulses.

What else do you need? The place goes on quarantine for eight hours as violent aggressors take out their angst on anyone and everyone who they deem deserves it. Frustrated coworkers going berserk, CEOs snorting coke and secretaries betraying their boss for a promotion and basically handing them to the sharks. AWESOME!
All while being able to get off with an insanity plea that was landmarked in a case by this very firm 8)

Talon Falls (2017) This was no bueno. Four teenagers on a road trip happen into a gas station where they learn of a haunted house in Talon Falls. The gas station attendant (a redneck lol) marks them for 'use' and contacts his peeps. Everything goes wrong from here and the expected happens. Pass

The Crucifixion (2017) This was pretty intense. A body hopping demon wreaks havoc as the main character travels to Rome to disprove a priest's tactics of exorcism after one of these ends fatally. Some cheap scares but felt high budget. Good for a view.

Cold Moon (2016) Not the greatest movie of all time but a pretty good story. A man that works at his father's bank will stop at nothing to take some land. After a murder he slowly spirals into insanity which leads to more chaos and in the end, the dead that haunt him play a pivotal role in his own fate.

Watching him lose his marbles is awesome. Good flick 8)

Cult of Chucky (2017) Ha, just what you'd expect. This one doesn't set the bar higher but there are multiple Chuckies, hence the cult ref.
Mega hot Jennifer Tilly is back in this one.... and that's pretty much as cool as it gets. The guy that played the original Andy Barclay is back and a little on the insane side. You can see it happening a mile away lol. Yay, more sequels.... :D
Oh, and it takes place in a mental institution. Go figure.

The Babysitter (2017) This was a good one lol. Probably never watch it again but it was entertaining. From IMDB:
The events of one evening take an unexpected turn for the worst for a young boy trying to spy on his babysitter.
Had some funny parts and although it started out pretty tame, turned unexpectedly into a nice slasher comedy :p

Devil's Whisper (2017) I was looking forward to this one. The name and cover art alone warranted a view. Good storyline that could have produced a classic but was marred by terrible acting and crappy CGI. Some of the acting made me lol. You could tell quickly these people were not graduates of the Yale School of Drama :p
Pass

Found Footage 3D (2016) This was actually pretty good. Assumed it would be just another in the genre but some cheap scares and creepy scenes made it worthwhile. From IMDB:
A group of filmmakers sets out to make the first 3D found footage horror movie, but find themselves IN a found footage horror movie when the evil entity from their film escapes into their behind-the-scenes footage.
Takes place in and around Gonzales, TX (or says this in the opening scene) and puts the film makers in a haunted cabin where they unleash something horrible ???
Pretty good flick 8)

Lots of catch up there!  Interesting ones too.  I will have to look for Osiris Child.

Going to the final frontier, gaming...
