Absolutely.  I haven't purchased one but I'm really considering it.  The HDMI output is excellent and the compatibility beats what the Retron can do with NES games.

They were pretty hard on the Retron 5. I don't get that, but they also said only 720P lol.
Guess I'm not hip on best of the best bc 720p is wonderful. Even 480p doesn't make a difference to me. 
But the machine appears to be a solid piece of hardware that should prolong that part of the hardware for another 30 years, at least. Don't know about the cartridge side of the matter but if taken care of they should last indefinitely-I'd think.

Well, I saw these at PRGE and they are solid indeed.  They sold like hotcakes at the event.  They actually sold out on the web site already so they are getting a second run ready.

I've heard pretty positive feedback on these.  Glad you're enjoying yours.  Looks like we are going to have replacement versions of more than just this console in the near future.
