This is my first Atari game intended for publication!  I hope you all enjoy it!  :26:

Here is a rundown of controls:

Reset restarts the game

The left difficulty switch sets the games difficulty

The right difficulty switch turns off and on music

Fire starts the game and, while holding left or right, selects a character.

Holding fire while pressing directions performs the following actions:
Up=Magic
Down=Special attack
Right=right side swing
Left=Left side swing

Holding fire without a direction Jumps

Right and Left control the jump direction

Letting go of the button during jump performs a Jump attack

Holding fire on the game over screen continues the current game

Holding a direction during the title, character select screen, and winning (easy and hard mode) screens plays one of the four other songs from the game (no direction being pressed plays the main theme).

Have fun!!
And all the Who's down in Whoville will cry
"OH $#IT!"

That video is the earlier Beta with many differences.

The enemies all have varying speeds now
There are changes to the backgrounds that add more animation and detail to several of them.
The first two Titan bosses are gold now.  Only the last one is violet.
Certain badguy placement has changed
There is an ending for easy now
Music can now be played on the title and ending screens by holding directions on the joystick
Music can now be shut off and on with the right side difficulty switch
The bosses have magic attacks now!
There are WAY more prizes and hidden stuff like warps and power up tricks..

Thanks everyone!!

Wait, what?

Atari is something like 70 years old, and I dont think you can just plain program and compile an Atari game that simple.

Again,
What?

Papa

With a background in BASIC, some imagination,  Visual Batari Basic, and Stella, it's really not that hard!  You have to be prepared to understand the subtleties of bank switching to make a game as gigantic as Titan Axe.  My next Titan Axe game (Titan Axe II : The Search for More Money)  :36: :113: :25:) !!

I just ordered a pre-sale version of it from AA with my own label, whereas the store release will have an awesome instruction manual describing the aforementioned levels and explaining how to whoop arse with less frustration.

BE THEEERRRRRRE!!
And all the Who's down in Whoville will cry
"OH $#IT!"

TrekMD

Very cool, Papa.  So, will the game be available for sale at CGC or only at the AA Store?

Going to the final frontier, gaming...

Papa

I really don't know!?!  I don't think it's ready for sale yet.  The manual and box may not be done yet.  I bet they would be happy to take orders, though!!  :105:
And all the Who's down in Whoville will cry
"OH $#IT!"

TrekMD

That's cool. I'm just trying to anticipate how much space I'll need for when I go to CGC. :)
