Minesweeper - New Sega Master System Homebrew

Everyone out there must have played the classic Minesweeper at one time or another, after all it was a staple of the Windows operating system right up until its most recent version. This new version of the game for the Sega Master System by Eric Fry is incredibly authentic to that Microsoft iteration and is an entry in the SMS Power Coding Competition 2014.

The aim of the game is to find all the bomb tiles by uncovering non-bomb tiles on the board and flagging them. If you accidentally uncover a bomb then you lose. The number on the uncovered tiles tell you how many bombs surround the tile, you must strategically use these to work out where the bombs lie. You can select from three different board sizes in this Sega based version of the game.

The game has been released for free to use with flash cartridges or your favourite emulator and you can read more about how it was produced in the development thread over at SMS Power forum. The programmer also plans to release the source code to the game sometime in the near future.

I've been starting to dabble in a bit of Lynx programming, I wonder how difficult it would be to create a simple version of Minesweeper.

Good idea for a start off program!
