For an existing project I need to know if there is a native 7800 game (original or homebrew) using two firebuttons at the same time (so player push both buttons during gameplay at same time)?

I reviewed the list of available games and there are some candidates but none of them requires to use both keys same time.

Any hardcore gamer/developer out there who is able to confirm?

I don't know of any 7800 games that require it but there are games where you may be pressing them simultaneously just because of the functions.  For example, you can be firing one weapon with the right button and a different weapon with the left button at the same time.

Going to the final frontier, gaming...

I read several game reviews and some games - as you said - uses one button for fire and the second one for bombs. But it is unlikely you push both and hold it for about 5 seconds, right?

I guess that depends on the gamer but, because of the shape of the controller, I don't think anyone would hold both buttons at the same time for a long time.

Well on the joypad it is possible but then you loose control with a third hand :)
On the pro joystick it is possible using one hand for both buttons

As functionality allow to disable the feature user is able to decide to use it on games or not.
