The Evolution of Retro Skiing & Snowboarding Games
« on: September 27, 2013, 18:16:36 PM »
Let's look at another sport that many folks enjoy, Skiing!  How has it fared among retro system?  Well, let's start with two games for the ...

Skiing
Atari 2600 - Skiing

Ski Run
Ski Run for the Atari 2600

Ski Hunt

Though these games are different as to why they implement skiing, I think Ski Hunt is the better of the three.  It has in-game music and better graphics.

No, these are games from the '80s.  Ski Run was released by Suntek and Ski Hunt was released by Home Vision.  They originally were both PAL games.  You can find information about them at Atarimania: Ski Run & Ski Hunt.

I have Ski Hunt, a conversion from the PAL version to NTSC, but it has constant screen roll so I can't really play it.

Ski Run looks terrible, but Ski Hunt is very impressive! Great music and graphics.

Never played Alpine Skiing. I really like two player action. Looks like some Snow Rash action at the end. Really Cool!!!!

Horace Goes Skiing = classic gaming.

What the hell is Harris goes Skiing. That's wrong in everyway lol.
