I really didn't hear much about the Neo Geo when it was originally out.  I've learned about it mostly here in RVG.  It does have some pertty cool games.  Wish I had known about ti back then!

I would say the Neo Geo systems are my gaming Holy Grails. They look so amazing and really remind my of what I used to be like as a gamer back then.

It took 13 years or so, but as of tomorrow SNK/Playmore will be going back to their original name and logo!

Really great to see them back again!

Hope the change is for the good, i hear good signs of things to come, though lets hope they still stick to pixel-art if they bring out a new Metal Slug, i don't want blur-o-fest updated pixels, the originals are classics, more of, lets hope!

Really want a Neo-Geo CD again atm! I owned a CDZ back around 2000-01 and helped crack a few games back then :-O An AES is too much even though that's my dream console and one of the few machines i've never owned.

Trouble is the CDZ have upped in price, paid £200 back then, hard to get them under £400 now, of course they load games quicker, but i may have to settle for a normal system, can pick one up for £100.

Interested in some of the homebrew stuff, as well as unofficial games, there's 10 or so MVS games that have been made into CD .iso's to play (games that can fit into the 7mb system ram though)

Anyone else own a CD Neo Geo and still use it?

I still have mine of course and I use it. A CDZ would be nice but unless you're playing a lot of the really big fighting games the loading times aren't that bad with the regular system.

I still have my original NGCD that I bought at retail but it doesn't get much use. At this point, I think the best route for Neo Geo is to get a 1-slot arcade PCB, cheap supergun, and an MVS multicart. The MVS library is much larger than NGCD (or AES), and most MVS carts are fairly cheap if you want to collect originals. Takes a bit of setup to get the supergun configured, but it's worth it.

Not liking the overall appeal of the MVS esp in front of my TV.
Am really tempted at the NeoSD with an AES, yeah i know its expensive, but one off cost to get my most dreamed of system with every game and looks great, total cost would be around £700, it might be oh sod it why not kinda impulse buys lol

I was looking at that last night. Pretty cool that they are doing a CD version! Not too expensive either.
