For me, it either comes down to Sonic 3 & Knuckles or Sonic CD. I think I'll go with CD, though, because it was actually my first Sonic game. Although 3 came pretty soon afterwards.

I actually never hated that game as much as a lot of Sonic fans seem to. Is it deep? Not really. Is it balanced? Nah. Is it fun? I'd say so!

I really need to look into getting the PS3 version, especially since they've made the bosses playable, as well as adding in Honey, who got cut from the original arcade version. Yes, the character from Fighting Vipers. Only she's a cat now. No, I don't get it, either.

I forgot all about Sonic Fighters. Never knew about the arcade release either. I always thought it was a mere concept and nothing more.

I had to go for Sonic Generations sadly. although if we were on about retro only it has to be Sonic and Knuckles 3, if you could add casino night and star light zone

not a big fan of Sonic CD. Strangely out of the Mega Drive sonics its definately at the bottom of my list.

I still don't own Sonic CD actually, can barely remember it either. Really need to pick it up at some point.
