Nice! Darxide is a great looking game. I bought a repro copy of it a while ago.

People who ordered these are starting to get them, and I'm seeing a lot of complaints.

For one, all of the prototypes that were sent to YouTube channels for review were made differently than the final model. The circuit board had a bevelled edge like it's supposed to so that it doesn't damage your console when you insert it. The production model does not have this, it's just a straight edge. A lot of people ordered these based on all the positive reviews they saw and now are feeling misled because they got something different.

The other thing is at some point the main guy behind the project moved to a different country. For whatever reason this is causing really high import fees that wouldn't have been an issue if he hadn't moved. And nobody knew he was moving.

Glad I didn't get one.

Retro News & Chat / Re: New Kickstarter: Coleco: Berzerk and Frenzy.

Yeah I looked at this a couple days ago, but it's pretty clear they aren't going to reach their goal. I like the idea of these but they're just too expensive for one game, or two with this Berzerk/Frenzy combo. I'm honestly surprised their first Kickstarter for these was successful.

I had never heard of that bad disc problem. I still have my launch Dreamcast. :)

Yeah, I've pretty much stopped caring at this point. Good day to send out this update anyway.

I've bought a few handhelds at launch but the Dreamcast remains the only console. The leap in graphics from the PS1 was incredible. Too little too late for Sega but a great send-off.  :)

Wow, a 51 minute response! I started watching until he compared the 3DO to the Ouya and the Coleco Chameleon. That's enough of his opinion.

Seriously, I completely agree with Pat and Ian here. I've been positive about this new Intellivision but that's because I'm their target audience. I don't think the general public is going to care about this. I also think Tommy is acting a little crazy!

Well I just pre-ordered one. ;D

There are no retailers in Canada so I was concerned about the shipping cost but it was really cheap so I went for it. I got the limited edition black one with the three game bundle. Now I just have to wait till March!

You should, it hasn't gotten too heated but it's definitely entertaining.

There's a pretty good feud going on between Tommy Tallarico, and Pat and Ian from the CUPodcast. If you go to the link in my last post you can see his Twitter account and just go back a few days to see the start.

Pat and Ian have talked about the new Intellivision a couple of times and their view is that there's no market for it. You can see the videos on their YouTube channel. They're being respectful about it but Tommy keeps harrassing them about it on Twitter and it's getting a little comical.
