Announcements and Feedback / Re: Sad day for RVG
July 19, 2014, 21:27:47 PM
Just a quick one before I go completely, I just want to cover a few points:

- Firstly it was my choice to leave, purely personal reasons.

- I will not be coming back and will no longer be contributing to RVG in any capacity.

- I would like to thank everyone for their support over the years

Cheers

I vaguely seemed to remember there was, which is why I said another - because a modern remake would be great too. This genre really seems to have been ignored in recent years, shame.

Quote from: "TrekMD"That looks very impressive.  Would have loved to see it being played, though.

I believe it's just a demo of still screenshots unfortunately.

Ocean's home computer conversions of this game were great, I loved playing the Spectrum version with the Magnum Light Phaser!

Then my friend got the Master System version and I just couldn't believe how close it was!

It's a great shame that Taito never made a Mega Drive version of the game and an even bigger shame they never did a pack for the Saturn with both this and Operation Thunderbolt on it, like they did with the 2 Chase HQ games  :20:

Quite simply one of the greatest games ever made.

The original US Gold conversions to the home computers were all terrible. The we got decent versions for the Mega Drive and PC Engine. Then finally came along the arcade perfect Sega Saturn port and I was in heaven!  :8:

Being a big fan of into the screen space shooters I would love to see a 3rd Galaxy Force game, as well as sequels to Soul Star, Star Blade and another Silpheed game too.
