Title: New Sega MegaDrive/Genesis Homebrew - Miniplanets
Post by: TrekMD on December 14, 2016, 02:16:26 AM
Indie developer Goto80 is set to release a new game for the Sega MegaDrive./Genesis:  Miniplanets!  The game is a pseudo-3D platformer starring a little red character who vaguely resembles Opa Opa from Sega's Fantasy Zone games.  In Miniplanets each level takes the form of a spherical maze, which you have to navigate to find the keys which in turn open a portal to the next sphere. The programmers use sprites to create the illusion of a sphere is pretty nifty.

The game will be getting a proper release on cartridge, complete with box and manual sometime in 2017 but no date has been set.  The box art is shown above and below is a video sampling the gameplay.
