In Fishing Game Jam you play as Haku (the actual coder!) and you have to get as many points as you can in around 7 minutes (clock in the bottom right). There's three fishing locations and three versions of six different fish (weak, normal, strong). You can buy 8 pieces of equipment with unique effects on your character at the village fishing shop. The game is more of an arcade style fishing game than a simulation.

The programmer has also made some special music tracks tracks, one for the village, a shop track and a fishing track. The fishing track is the one that plays before you've hooked a fish and then the battle music will play when you've hooked one! He has also made the soundtrack available to download for free from Soundcloud (//https), so have a listen!

The game has been programmed to fit on a 24k cartridge and works perfectly on real hardware or an emulator. You can download the game from free from the programmer's website (//http) where you can also read more about the development of the game, check for updates and download a manual too. This manual will explain the fishing locations, the equipment, about tugging and snatching and other things that are not self explanatory in the game.
